About
While studying electrical engineering at a technical high school I joined JCET STATS ChipPAC Korea, a semiconductor back-end (OSAT) plant in Incheon, where I spent one year and five months as an SLT (System Level Test) process operator running a bay of roughly 40 test units across a four-shift cleanroom rotation.
Toward the end of my contract I watched robots take over the line I had been working on, and since I wanted to build that equipment rather than operate it, I served out my term and enrolled in robotics engineering.
Since then I have implemented PLC ladder safety logic, designed and installed complete wiring from control boxes through to end devices, and produced 3D mechanical designs and working prototypes.
I now write the drawings and documentation before anything gets built, working toward becoming an electrical and control engineer for semiconductor back-end equipment, test handlers, and automation systems.
Projects
Encouragement Award, Daegu Specialized High School Project Competition
Jun 2022 – Sep 2022 · Team of 4
A working subway model whose propulsion, braking, doors, and safety devices are split across two PLCs, with the emergency stop and dead-man switch wired so that a severed line defaults to braking (fail-safe).
My part: full-system wiring design and installation, component selection and ordering
Encouragement Award, 22nd Embedded Software Contest
Jul 2024 – Nov 2024 · Team of 3
A walking aid robot that guides visually impaired passengers to their boarding position on a station platform, completed as a working prototype for the contest's final exhibition and presented as a poster at the RESKO conference.
My part: mechanical design and 3D printing, electrical wiring and diagrams, test application
In Progress
Design Phase
Personal project · Documentation-first design
The light-shielding interlock and low-water cutoff are fixed in hardware first, and the requirements, power budget, BOM, and firmware state machine are settled in writing before any geometry is drawn.
Status: six design documents complete, detailed CAD in progress
